With an aim to initiate dialogue among various stakeholders for empowerment of Persons with Disability (PwDs), Sarthak and NAAI organised ‘Samagam– Setting Pathways to Disability’ Inclusive Development (Round Table Conference) on Friday at Composite Regional Centre, Bhopal.
Inaugurated by Chief Guest JN Kansotiya, Principal Secretary of Department of Social Justice andDisabled Welfare and Jitender Aggarwal, Founder and CEO of Sarthak Educational Trust, the conference emerged as a platform for discussion and deliberation highlighting the need for Inclusive World for all.
Comprising of enriching sessions, the conference witnessed representatives from various corporate houses and NGO’s engaging in panels like Disability Inclusion Advantage and Partnership Model for PwD Inclusivity. The conference also included a Super Idol Panel where prominent alumni from Sarthak came forward sharing their journey of success.
Taking forward its mission of empowerment of PwDs, Sarthak organized 151st Job Fair for Divyangjans alongside the Round Table Conference. With a participation of more than 150 PwDs, the Job Fair invited placement prospects in organizations like Aegis, Mahindra Finance, Tele-performance, Reliance Fresh, Ondoor, Vidhya Automobiles and Pantaloons.
Founder & CEO of Sarthak, Jitender Aggarwal told media persons, “With the support of government, today we have various laws for upliftment of People with Disabilities. But this road of Equality for All still faces struggles due to prolonged stigmas associated with PwDs and lack of knowledge about various disabilities.”
