A short-term course on modeling and simulation using Matlab would be organised for the electrical engineering students of Maulana Azaad National Institute of Technology (MANIT).
The course would begin here on May 5 and would continue till May 9. Interestingly, the faculty members of MANIT can also be a part of this short-term course. Registrations had already been done online in the month of April.
The course would be conducted by Shailendra Jain, professor, electrical engineering, Amit Ojha, Assistant Professor, Mukesh Kirar, Assistant Engineer (Department of Electrical Engineering).Today computer simulation software can be used as a tool to understand the conceptual issues with analysis and design. In the prospect of attracting students, a modernisation of both courses and supporting laboratories is essential.
Matlab is a graphical programming language tool for modeling, simulating and analyzing dynamic systems. It is used widely in universities and colleges. The objective of this course is to train the young faculty and research students to explore the role and possibility of simulation software in electrical and electronics engineering.
The modeling, simulation and virtual experimentation with emphasis on analysis, design and simulation study can make teaching-learning attractive. Necessary fundamental and theoretical framework will be covered, required before developing simulation model. The students and the faculty members would be able to explore the new fact about electrical engineering and the short-term course would be full of information for the participants.
