Selection for postings of assistant professors and professors in the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education (IEHE), Bhopal, will be made by a committee comprising subject experts. Candidates for the posts of assistant professors and professors should apply online for this.
It was decided at a meeting of the general body of the institute chaired by Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta here on Monday.
Gupta said that excellence of the institute will be maintained with this. The already posted there will also have to participate in
this process.
Gupta said that bonus of 5 per cent marks in cut-off marks will be given to children of staff of Higher Education Department in admission in the institute. He directed to suspend accountant for irregularities in institute’s account. Gupta directed to dispose of audit objections by June 30. He said that the decisions taken at the meeting should be implemented within time-limit. The Minister said that daily wagers should be regularised soon as per government’s directives.
The meeting also decided to increase merit scholarship amount to Rs20,000 andnumber of merit holders from 30 to 40. Institute’sbudget for 2015-16 wasalso sanctioned.
The meeting also sanctioned works for boys hostel, canteen and other works. It also decided to increase amount for students under ‘Earn While learn’ scheme. Principal Secretary Higher Education KK Singh, Institute’s Director Mira Pingale and members of the general body were present on the occasion.
