With the onset of Ramzan, the Bhopalites have begun to rejoice over the blessings of this month and other than the spiritual aspect a fun thing about this month is that the foodies and the shopaholics get an opportunity to explore the new stuff and trendy arrivals on the streets of Bhopal.

The market is all set to welcome the shopaholics as it carries a full line of groceries, hot foods, beverages, and more. The markets of the city are bustling with female buyers. Besides, not only ladies but gents of the city are also getting crazier for shopping this time.

Talking about foodies, during this month the markets get embellished with tremendous varieties of eatables and new trends in dress materials and other accessories. One can find the streets of Chowk market adorned with the shops selling dates, fried snacks and one of the most special meals of iftaar, 'Bundi'. Another eatable which gains most popularity is the sewayiyan. People buy bunches of sewayiyan and have it during sehari time.

Women are getting captivated towards the eye-catchy, long length pishwas with embroidered and specially knitted laces to the duppatas. Various fairs have also been organised in the city for the people to shop and choose a particular variety for them.

Nadeem Khan who owns a women's attire store in the city said, "I have almost all the ranges of women's dress materials and imitation accessories for the ladies to buy." On asking about the preferences of the customers, he said that women specially look for new trends nowadays. Further, the customers buy matching imitation jewelleries and, of course, the Bhopali purses are always in-trend.

Everything looks colourful during the days and nights of Ramzan on the streets. Not only the women attires are available in a lot of variety in the market but also the different fragrances of Ittar are also in demand. One of the ittar vendors, Ashfaque said, "I have a lot of varieties of ittar at my shop. One could find rose ittar, kewra, jasmine and many more," he added.

If talking about the Bhopali market, how one can forget to mention about the night market. During the night, after the dusk meal Iftaar, people go to shop. Especially on Sundays the markets look like a busy bee hub where everyone is walking through the streets looking for new arrivals. The interesting thing about the Sunday market of Ramzan is that everything and anything is available at a reasonable price and so the shopaholics of the city prefer to visit the Sunday markets during this month.

Afia Khan, a home-maker, says, "Sunday market is the most preferable one as I get all the stuff available easily and moreover it's a holiday so I shop with a lot of ease. But the only thing that dares me is the huge crowd," she added laughingly. This month not only brings enthusiasm among people but also let them enjoy the festivities at its best and one example of this is the city's Ramzan Market.
