Collector for ensuring GIS success

With the stage set for the Global Investors Summit (GIS) later this month, Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh on Friday reviewed preparations for the highly anticipated event.

The GIS Summit is expected to bring together global investors, dignitaries, and key stakeholders. During the meeting, officials were assigned various responsibilities, with a strong focus on coordination across departments.

Key directives were issued for the beautification of the city, including repairing major roads, ensuring cleanliness, and setting up the event venues.

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been entrusted with improving parking arrangements, providing clean drinking water, and setting up mobile toilets for the convenience of visitors.

The Collector also instructed the installation of a robust traffic management system to avoid congestion, particularly around key locations. Additionally, a vehicle-tagging system will be implemented at all parking areas to ensure smooth operations.

Addressing airport arrangements, Singh stressed the importance of security at Raja Bhoj Airport and the VIP Lounge at the State Hangar, ensuring all protocols are followed to accommodate high-profile guests.

The Collector also emphasised the need for well-maintained lighting and cleanliness across event venues, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees. To ensure everything runs seamlessly, a main control room and a parking control room will be set up to oversee operations.

This summit is a prestigious opportunity for Bhopal, and it’s crucial that all departments work together as one cohesive unit, stated Singh.

He further added, the aim is to set a benchmark for future events and showcase Bhopal as a city that is not only business-friendly but also well-prepared to host international delegations.
