District Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh conducted surprise inspections across the state capital on Wednesday, directing immediate action on health services, construction timelines, and begging at major junctions.
Singh expressed displeasure after spotting women begging at the Lalghati traffic intersection. He ordered that those involved in begging be sent to rehabilitation centres and warned of strict action against those who resist.
The Collector began his visit at the Smart City multipurpose building in Tulsi Nagar. He instructed the addition of a fourth floor and expanded parking so multiple departments could operate from a single site.
He then visited the Sanjeevani Clinic and the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Dispensary in Sewania Suraj Nagar, where he noted a shortage of staff. He ordered the CMHO to immediately propose new appointments for doctors and nurses.
At Barkhedi Bazyaft village, Singh visited a polyhouse farming project developed under the Protected Farming Scheme. Farmer Saudan Singh Kushwaha shared how he earns up to Rs 12 lakh a year cultivating flowers.
At Lalghati, the Collector reviewed the under-construction three-storey tehsil office building. He instructed the Public Works Department to complete work on time and provide parking for 50 cars and 200 two-wheelers.
