CM to throw a bash for MP's migrants in poll-bound Delhi

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the State unit of the BJP have hit upon an innovative idea to associate people of Madhya Pradesh residing outside the State. A first of its kind meet is being organised on January 30 at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium to bring all those who hail from Madhya Pradesh in the national Capital for a get-together.

This is the brain child of Chouhan towards winning the Delhi State Assembly elections, it is being said. To woo the voters hailing from Madhya Pradesh, an election meeting and lunch for the Madhya Pradesh origin voters is scheduled at Talkatora stadium in Delhi on Friday. BJP sources said that party leaders in Madhya Pradesh have conducted an exercise in this regard in the past few days and a message regarding the election meeting of MP origin people is being widely spread through different means, including social media.

BJP’s national president Amit Shah, Chouhan, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Members of Parliament Thavarchand Gehlot and Prabhat Jha and Madhya Pradesh UAD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya would remain present during the programme. Sources further claimed that on the occasion, the Chief Minister might announce formation of ‘Friends of Madhya Pradesh’ and those having origin in the State would be linked with it. A permanent data bank of these citizens would be prepared, so that they could be provided better facilities even in Delhi.

In a survey conducted by the BJP in Delhi it has been found that more than two lakh voters live in 35 constituencies in Sangam Vihar, Dwaraka, Palam, Chandni Chowk and Bhajanpura areas. Party sources claim that most of the migrants are from Bundelkhand, Malwa and Gwalior-Chambal regions of Madhya Pradesh and they are well connected with each other. They might be spread across around 20 constituencies with more than 5,000 votes.

Party sources claimed that former Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Arvind Kothekar has been given the responsibility of this programme and he is of the opinion that more than 10,000 people would participate in the meeting.
