Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch 24X7 power supply in 23rd district Khargone on Thursday at 2 pm at Stadium Ground, Khargone.
Under Atal Jyoti Abhiyan, 24-hour power supply to all households is being ensured in all districts of the state one by one. So far 24X7 power supply has been started in Jabalpur, Mandla, Shahdol, Anuppur, Umaria, Burhanpur, Bhopal, Balaghat, Ratlam, Dhar, Alirajpur, Sheopur, Panna, Mandsaur, Rewa, Hoshangabad, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Khargone, Khandwa, Harda and Betul districts. A consumers and panchayat convention will also be held on the occasion. A sum of Rs 141.25 crore has been spent in Khargone district on implementation of the scheme. Under the Abhiyan, 266 existing feeders are being separated benefiting 1167 villages.
