Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State Assembly Speaker Sitasaran Sharma and Deputy Speaker Rajendra Singh released a book on Andaman and Nicobar at the Assembly premises on Friday.
The book is based on a study tour of Media Gallery Advisory Committee of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly that visited Andaman in May, this year. The committee members’ experiences have been incorporated in the book compiled by a committee member, Pramod Pagare.
The committee members were on the tour from May 11 to 17, 2017.
Committee members who remained present on the occasion were- Sunil Shukla, Brijesh Rajput, Rakesh Agnihotri, Bharat Shastri, Deepesh Awasthi, Girish Sharma, Rajendra Sharma, Ravi Awasthi, Sunil Sharma and Prawal Saxena. Principal Secretary of the State Assembly Avdhesh Pratap Singh was also present.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has issued notification for the filling of one vacant seat of Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh on Friday. The seat fell vacant after the death Anil Madhav Dave, who was elected to the Upper House in June 2016 and his tenure was till June 29, 2022.
Election commission has appointed Principal Secretary of State Assembly Awdesh Pratap Singh as Returning Officer and Additional Secretary Premnarayan Vishwakarma has been appointed as Assistant Returning Officer.The room number 2 (M- 2) of state assembly in Bhopal has been made authorized election office.
The date of filing of nomination would be from July 21, 2017 to July 28, 2017. The nomination would be done from 11 am to 3 pm at office of returning officer Rajya Sabha by Elections 2017 committee room number -2 except holidays.
The nomination papers would be scrutinized on July 29, 2017 from 2pm. Withdrawal of candidature could be done till 3 pm on July 31, 2017.
If require voting would be conducted on August 8, 2017 from 9 am to 4 pm.
