CM losing confidence: Bhuria

The State Congress has claimed that the popularity of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gone down and due to which the confidence of Chouhan also seems to be on the losing track.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president MP Kantilal Bhuria in a statement here on Thursday said, “There were media reports that Chouhan desperately wants to leave his traditional Assembly constituency Budhni and is looking to shift on the most secured constituency for the BJP in State, Vidisha.” Bhuria further said that the speculation in this regard is rife as Chouhan also increased his activities in Vidisha besides the saffron party never contradicted the media reports in this regard. At present Finance Minister of the State Raghav Sanwla represents this Assembly constituency.

He said that the BJP had also bitten the dust in its ground programs in the recent past, even before the party could recover from the shock of the unexpected failure of much publicized 'Maha-jansampark Abhiyan' it was forced to handover the party's establishment day program 'Vikas Parv'  to the government in hurry. CM is frightened of the situation and in the result is looking for a safe constituency to save his honor, he added.

He said the BJP is scared of the certain defeat it is going to face in the year end State assembly elections and just for its consolation is carrying out different types of surveys. The results of all the surveys are increasing the heart beats and decreasing the confidence of the ruling party.

One survey concluded that only half of the current legislators of the BJP would be able to win, while another survey almost fainted the party leadership as it claimed that over 90 sitting legislators might go away from the hands of the BJP.

He said that the surveys carried out by the BJP also indicated that over one and a half dozen ministers of the Chouhan cabinet might also taste defeat. The condition is as worst that the saffron party is seeing its victory only on 60 seats. When Congress would expose the corruption done in the BJP rule during elections then it is certain that the numbers would further go down.

Bhuria, a former union minister said that the disappointing situation has forced the ruling party to scold and scare its legislators for building pressure on them to visit their constituencies.
