Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched ‘Kill Corona Campaign’ to be conducted from National Health day till the next 15 days at Samanvay Bhavan, Bhopal. The Chief Minister said that we all together have to combat corona. Our victory is certain. We all should take a resolution that we will make Madhya Pradesh a corona and Disease Free State. He urged general public to render their active cooperation in the Kill Corona Campaign.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated ‘Sarthak Light’ App. He also released booklet ‘The Strategy Document Covid-19 Response to Recovery Sustainable Solution’ published by the Department of Public Health and family Welfare.
Besides, Chouhan flagged off IEC vehicles being used for generating awareness about corona. The Member of Parliament Pragya Thakur, MLAs Rameshwar Sharma, Krishna Gaur and Surendra Singh Shera were present on the occasion. Meeting arrangement was made at Samanvaya Bhavan keeping in account the social distancing protocol.
Launching the campaign on Health Day and Doctors Day, Chouhan said that due to the dedicated efforts of doctors and other paramedical staff in Madhya Pradesh, the present situation of corona control has been created. Doctor is considered as God. Doctors have created history by realizing this belief. Day and night they served the people affected by the infection. Many doctors slept in their four wheelers at night. Many doctors even did not see the face of their newborns and kept distance from family members as they were on duty in the hospitals. Chouhan said that such doctors deserve to be felicitated. Along with doctors, nursing staff, ward boys, other health workers, Anganwadi workers and Asha workers have also created a history in their service to the people. If this feeling was not there, the disease could have led us to devastation. He also thanked voluntary organizations.
The Chief Minister said that the charismatic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi has led to success in corona control in the whole country and at the same time situation in Madhya Pradesh is good too. IITT strategy i.e. early identification of suspected and patients, isolation of suspected patients and admitting confirmed patients in separate wards of hospitals, testing more and more samples and increase in treatment facilities has succeeded in controlling the disease.
He said that the state had one testing lab 3 months ago with only 60 tests per day capacity. Now, 30 labs have been developed for testing corona in the state with a capacity of 9 thousand tests per day. The State’s recovery rate is 77 percent, which is better than others states. Infection has come down. Our systems are very sound. We are also taking the cooperation of private hospitals. ICU beds are available in sufficient quantity in districts. We have achieved success in controlling the corona in Indore and Bhopal. The door to door survey will now completely control the corona. The Chief Minister, Chouhan said that screening of people coming from Dhaulpur to Morena region is also being done. There is need to be cautious to ensure that interstate routes do not become cause for infection, he added.
