Chief Minister is servant to the family of 7.5 crore people of the State; if a thorn is pinched in the foot of people, the Chief Minister feels the pain, said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while leading a roadshow in the by-election-bound Shahdol parliamentary constituency’s Pushprajgarh and Umaria Assembly constituencies on Wednesday.
Chouhan while addressing election meetings during the road show at Karondi and Rajendra Gram in Pushprajgarh assembly constituency said, “Public-oriented Governance is in the state. The Government of village, poor, farmers and laborers is in power. The Congress made farmers owe loans by giving them loans at 18 per cent interest and during Congress rule the scarcity of electricity and water ruined the farmers. The BJP that came to power in the state in 2003 has turned the State into electricity surplus State and today round the clock electricity is supplied even in the villages. Net of roads has been woven in the state and by providing interest free loans to the farmers the BJP Government made farmers life prosperous.”
Chouhan further said that the prosperity of the State depends on the prosperity of farmers. During the past eleven years record of development has been made in Madhya Pradesh. The agricultural growth rate of the State has reached to 20 per cent. The Congress during its rule put the farming on the sidelines forcing the farmer’s getaway from the state while the BJP Government in the state by making agriculture a profit making business made the State proud by continuously winning prestigious award in the field of agriculture Krishi Karman Award for four years, he added.
He said that Congress is responsible for the backwardness of Pushprajgarh area, chief minister is helpless due to by-poll for making any announcements but after the by-election this area would be lead to the pinnacle of progress.
