Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that work should be ensured in time-limit for setting up of Multi-Modal Logistics Park. Efforts should also be made to set up warehouses in mandis expeditiously. Private individuals and firms should also be brought forward for this. Chouhan was reviewing the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection at Mantralaya on Saturday. Departmental officers including Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Bisahulal Singh, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains were present.
Chouhan said that the storage capacity of food grains should be increased in the state. Also, the off-loading from the godowns should be ensured in time-limit.
Work out a policy for filling and emptying the warehouse. Godowns should be maintained and protected through PPP mode. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to install solar panels on the roof-tops of godowns. He said that renewable energy production should be promoted.
