State Congress has alleged that whenever the farmers of the State suffer with natural calamities, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan instead of executing his Rajdharm to provide assistance, starts shielding behind excuses.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president and MP Arun Yadav in a statement here on Wednesday said, “Whenever the peasants of the State are hit with floods, hailstorms and frost then Chouhan at the place of executing his Rajdharm and helping farmers starts avoiding his liability and starts giving excuses. And when he does not gets any excuse then without any base and justification starts holding the Centre responsible and for that creates such an atmosphere that it is not the responsibility of the BJP Government of the State to provide relief and assistance to the farmers but the Centre is accountable for that.”

Yadav further said that the fact is that the State Government does not carry out the survey of the losses of the crops in the fixed time due to that it does not sends the right proposal for the assistance amount. When the Centre would not get appropriate proposal from the State Government than how can it release the funds, he added.

He said that holding the Centre responsible for his failures has become the habit of the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister. “Holding Centre responsible to cover up his failures and weaknesses has now become Chouhan’s hobby, if he is a little bit of sensitive and honest towards the farmers of the State than he should get rid of this psyche of escaping from his primary accountability because now the farmers and people of the State have understood that at the place of extending helping hands in the time of needs chief minister runs away from his duty,” he added. The State Congress chief alleged that the fact is that Chouhan is not fond of performing basic duties of the Government he only believes in doing various type of deamas.
