Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed sorrow over the untimely demise of three citizens in Rewa district when a tractor-trolley full of devotees returning home from the immersion of Durgaji overturned late last night. Chouhan has said that the entire state stands with the affected families in this hour of grief.
Chouhan has prayed for the peace of the departed souls and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this immense loss. Three civilians seriously injured in the accident are being treated at Government Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Rewa and remaining injured at Mauganj Hospital. Chouhan has directed the Rewa district administration to provide Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and financial assistance to the injured.
