Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over the demise of Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, Shankaracharya of Dwarka Shardapeeth. He has said that the news of the passing away of revered Shankaracharya Ji is very sad.
Paying tributes to revered Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Ji, Chief Minister Chouhan said that the whole world would remember the unparalleled contribution of Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati to the Indian knowledge tradition for ever.
Pujya Swami was the Shalaka Purush (illustrious personality) of Sanatan Dharma (eternal religion) and the Sun of Sanyas tradition. Swami Swaroopanand ji was 99 years old and had been ill for some time.
