Amid retention of Kalraj Mishra and Najma Heptullah in the union cabinet even after the reshuffle despite the policy adopted by the BJP of 75 years being the maximum age limit for ministerial berth at the Centre and State both, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called on the RSS top brass in Nagpur to discuss the political situation as he recently dropped two of his cabinet colleagues adhering to the policy. Chauhan whose scheduled visit to Nagpur was kept secret arrived here late last evening and drove straightway to the RSS headquarters where he closeted with the RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.

It is learnt that the duo discussed the political situation arising following dropping of two ministers namely PWD minister Sartaj Singh and Home minister Babulal Gaur. Chauhan is learnt to have clarified his stand over the issue and set aside the rumours of the two ministers being in close contact with the Congress to switch over. Before leaving Nagpur Chauhan told media in Nagpur on Wednesday that he met Bhagwat and other RSS leaders Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Dattatray Hosbale and Suresh Soni about the 51-point Ujjain religious fair document(resolutions passed at a conference at Ujjain last month coinciding with the Simhastha Kumbh Mela) related to sectors of education , environment and others which were meant to be discussed with RSS leadership and its implementation. He also stated that Madhya Pradesh Government will soon have a Ministry of Happiness to settle the basic problems of people.

He further said that the issues were sent to the other states also and there are some changes, which will be done after the discussion. Chouhan, however, denied that there was any discussion over political issues or dropping of two senior ministers from his cabinet. Political sources said that both of the ministers dropped from the cabinet because of their age, were annoyed with the decision. Their agony had further been fuelled as Prime Minister Narendra Modi due to some political reason decided not to drop Kalraj Mishra and Najma Heptullah from the ministry despite their age, told the sources.

Sources close to the party said that annoyed with their dropping from the cabinet both Sartaj Singh and Gaur looking forward towards Congress as their alternative political future.
