After Pradesh Congress Committee president Kantilal Bhuria filed a complaint against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with Governor Ramnaresh Yadav in connection with convening a Cabinet meeting, Chouhan called on the Governor and apprised him about his point of view.

Official sources said that Chouhan called on the Governor at Agrawal Nursing Home, where he is hospitalised since Monday and informed him that has taken prior permission from the Election Commission. He also underlined the importance of convening the Cabinet meeting.

Chouhan had called on Yadav enquiring about his health and expressed speedy recovery of his health. During the meeting, it was also discussed that the Congress had registered its opposition to the convening of Cabinet meeting. He apprised the Governor that after receiving due permission from the Election Commission, he has convened the meeting and no policy related issues would be discussed in the meeting.

Notably, Congress leaders had objected the convening of the Cabinet meeting, while the postal ballot are yet to be deposited by the Government employees and officials who were deployed in election duty. They have also alleged that if the Cabinet meeting is not stopped, they would revert the decisions taken in the meeting, when the Congress forms the Government after counting of votes on December 8. Regarding convening of the Cabinet meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra said that notification in this regard has been issued by the Chief Secretary and thus, the Cabinet meeting is being convened in the light of the constitution.
