Under Gamak series, classical presentations were performed at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum YouTube channel on Wednesday.
Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet and Kala Akademi's 'Classical singing' by Deepti Gedam Bhopal and Sitar Vadan by Shyam Vaishnav were performed. Deepti Gedam started off her presentation with Raag Bageshree - Bilambit khayal: Ektaal - Kaun Gat Bhaili Mori Piya Na Pooche Ekhu Baat, Chhota Khayal Rakhio and Tarana.She was accompanied on Tabla by Manoj Patidar and on Harmonium by Jitendra Sharma.
Deepti Gedam started her early education in music from her father Prakash Gedam and mother Indra Gedam from her childhood. At present, the famous singer of Gwalior Gharana Pt. Sajjanlal Brahmbhatt Rasrang has produced khayal singing and thumri, tappa. Dadra is getting special training in Chaturanga, Trivat.Deepti received Gold Medal in Classical Music (Hindustani Vocal) at 12th National Youth Festival, Pune held in 2007, Surmani title in "Artists of Tomorrow" conference organized by Sur Singar Sansad Mumbai in the year 2009.
The second presentation was by Shyam Vaishnav, Bhopal 'Sitar Vaadan' in which he performed Raga Bhupali - Bandish composed in Madhyalay Teentaal and Meera's Bhajan.Manoj Patidar gave accompaniment on tabla in the presentation.
