A Class XI girl student committed suicide after her obscene photographs were circulated on social media by a youth at Ratibad village; police have started further investigation.
According to the police, the deceased was found hanging and rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
The deceased was in depression for past few days as her photographs were shared by accused over Whatsapp. The miscreant clicked obscene photographs of the victim and later shared it over social media.
The family members told police that deceased was in depression after her photographs went viral and later the miscreant youth apologized for the act with them. The victim remained in the same state and on Sunday committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of CrPC has been registered.
The body of deceased has been handed over to family for his last rituals and investigation to search reason behind the suicide has been started by the police as police have not found any suicide note which could claim that the reason behind the suicide. The victim was a studious student and used to study in Sharda Vihar School.
During the investigation police found that the miscreant used to harass the victim but police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the suicide as statements are made by family members while statements of persons related to the case are yet to be recorded.
