Class X results out, 400 score 10 CGPA

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced its Class X results on Saturday. From as many as 7,000 students appeared for the exam,  400 students scored 10 CGPA. A total of 900 students scored more than 9 CGPA. This year the results were poor compared to last year. In this year, 96.21 per cent students passed the exam. Out of the total 96.36 per cent girls and 96.11 per cent boys cleared the exam. last year, 97.32 per cent students had cleared the exam.

The grading system was being criticised for pasts few years as the students who get 10 CGPA start believing that they can perform at the same level in 11th and 12th, but they drop down from their performance. This is the reason the schools of Bhopal in spite of having school level marking, checked the papers strictly so that the students do not get overconfident and show poor performance in future.  The students can see the results on www.cbse.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.results.nic.in. Results can also be known by dialing 011-24300699, 011-28127030.

This year, the Class 10 exam started on March 1 and continued till March 28. 14,99,122 students appeared in the class 10th CBSE exam out of which 8,92,685 were boys and 6, 06, 437 were girls. The results of all the regions were announced on Saturday.

The Bhopal City toppers from the Campion School who scored 10 CGPA are Apoorva Raj, Ashutosh Varshney, Satvik Pathak, Vedansh Dayal and Anubhav Majumdar. From ‘Bal Bhavan School’ 174 students appeared for the exam out of them there are seven students who scored 10 CGPA.
