A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a class 12 student at Shahpura area; a case of rape was registered against the accused on Monday by Shahpura police.
According to the police, the matter came to fore after victim reported illness and taken to JK hospital where it was found that victim took MTP pills after she got pregnant. Police said that the victim was sexually assaulted by accused who was a class 12 student while victim is class 10 student.
During the investigation police found that the victim came into contact in the Corona pandemic last year while online class were going on. In the month of January accused went to meet girl who was alone at her house and where she was sexually assaulted by the accused. The victim threatened to report with police but kept mum as accused threatened her of defaming.
Later when victim got pregnant accused gave her pills for abortion. The victim reported illness and was taken to hospital where sexual assault was revealed. Family lodged complaint with Habibganj police and a case of zero FIR was register and case transferred to Shahpura police.
The police after preliminary investigation registered a case against the accused. A case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC and sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual offence Act 2012 was registered against the accused.
