A 10th class student committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling in Katara Hills area late in the night on Wednesday, reason of the suicide reamined unclear.
Police handed over the body to the family after postmortem on Thursday afternoon. The deceased was the grandson of former MLA Naresh Singh Patel. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
Station in-charge Brijendra Nigam said that the student's father passed away a long time ago. The deceased used to live with mother, elder brother and younger sister. On Wednesday night, the student was in the inner room and the rest of the members were talking in the other premises of the house . Meanwhile, the student hanged himself by making a noose with a rope. The student did not come out of the room for a long time.
The brother and sister came to call him. As soon as they opened the door of the room, they found the brother's body hanging on the noose and they raised the alarm. The mother who rushed to the run fainted after spotting her son hanging. Hearing the screams, people from the vicinity came. The student was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The station in-charge said that it has come to light that the student was quiet. The family members have told this in their statement to the police. The student was under some kind of stress regarding studies. The police are verifying this. The student's social media account is also being searched. The mobile has been seized from the spot.
