The city artists are wooing the audience across the country. A young actor from the city of lakes Vinayak Gupta will now be seen in a lead role of a feature film.
The city lad was recently seen in ALT Balaji's web series Class of 2020. After the series, there was no turning back for the young actor. He signed the feature film D&J as the protagonist of the film. He will be seen opposite actress Shreya Singh.
The film D&J is shot under the banner of the award-winning production Nudo film and is directed by Abhilash Sahu. The film is based on Teen Pregnancy.
Talking about the dream-like breakthrough, Vinayak told The Pioneer, "The producer of the film, Pranav Sawhney, was looking for an actor. Then he asked me for my audition which he liked very much and invited me to Delhi."
As shooting took place during the pandemic, Vinayak said, "The safety precession was fully taken care of. The production of Flame Budget work was very well managed by the crew."
He further added, "While doing the feature film, I was nervous but I soon got mingled with the friendly environment. Actor Shreya is an excellent co-actor and was really supportive on the sets." Talking about upcoming projects, Vinakay said that there are few projects in the pipeline, which he is looking forward to.
Talking about the film, Vinayak shared that D&J is the story of a teen couple and teen pregnancy. Their life is about to take a detour as Jane decides she wants an abortion but the problem is she is 17, its illegal and they are in Jaipur. The film revolves around these two characters, their online love, offline problem and what happens to them at the end of it.
Vinayak shared that it was really difficult to shoot during tough times.
"The lockdown period gave us some more time to prepare for the characters," added Vinayak. "With a small budget, little plan and big dreams we managed to shoot in and around Delhi and Jaipur with a small crew of 8 people. Overall even though it was hard to manage initially, but after few days everything was in sync."
