A case of abetment to commit suicide was registered against a head constable with CISF posted at Govindpura for abetting a 26-year-old woman clerk to suicide.

Police said head constable Vinod Bohra was found guilty during the investigation of a suicide committed by a woman clerk posted with CISF at Govindpura.

Earlier on November 6, the deceased, identified as Shobha Dangwal, was found hanging at the hostel by the warden and was rushed to Kasturba Hospital where she was declared dead.

The investigation officer ASI Prahlad Maskole said in the initial probe the reason behind the extreme step taken by the deceased was not found. Deceased's sister was also questioned but she expressed ignorance and claimed that the deceased was not having any problem and never shared any issue which could force her to take extreme step.

later in the investigation it was found that the deceased was in relationship with Head Constable Vinod Bohra who refused to marry her few days ago before she committed suicide. The denial forced her to take extreme step and she committed suicide on November 6.

Police registered a case under Section 306 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

The family members were not aware of the relationship due to which deceased's sister was not able to provide details behind the suicide, police said.

The victim hailed from Uttarakhand and came into contact after she joined the CISF at Govindpura.

A case of abatement of suicide has been registered against the accused in Dehradun and later it was transferred to Govinpura police.

The Govindpura police have started further investigation into the matter.
