The Jan Ashirvad yatra of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan that was scheduled to reach Satna and Panna on August 11 and 12 have been cancelled. The State BJP headquarters has not clarified the reasons behind cancellation of the yatra for two days.
After covering Dhar and Jhabua districts, the yatra had to reach Satna on August 11 and the preparations for welcome of the yatra there, were already complete. However, in this regard, Energy Minister, who is also in-charge of Satna district told that the yatra has been cancelled in view of the recent accident in which an uncontrolled truck had killed seven persons and injured over two dozen.
