Madhya Pradesh Congress has alleged that the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken back the State into the Stone Age as rapes and other crimes against women and deaths due to malnutrition have become routine affair.
leader of opposition in the State assembly Ajay Singh in a statement here on Monday said, “Chouhan claims to be ‘mama’ of girls of the State and it is during his rule that 88 minors have been raped in just 90 days in the State, Tribal woman was forced to drink urine, delivery in government hospital of the State capital under torch light and malnutrition death of a child in the State capital has led back the State in the ‘Adim Yug’.”
Singh said these incidents have totally exposed Chouhan who claims himself as ‘maternal uncle’ or ‘mama’ of girls in the State. This figure has totally exposed Chouhan's claims of development and good governance in the State.
Singh further said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s claims of good governance and development stands exposed. The Chief Minister should tell the people that under what development does 88 rapes are committed over minor girls in just 90 days, a Tribal woman is manhandled and forced to drink liquor and urine, delivery is carried out under the light of torch in an ultramodern government hospital and a child dies of malnutrition in state capital, he added.
All the claims of the Shivraj Government were exposed in just one single day on April 21 when the people of the state came to know that the government that has crushed the state under Panchayats, Yatras, drives and feasts is misleading them and the reality is that the state is under rule of misgovernance and there is no law and order, said Singh.
The leader of opposition said that the recent figures of crime in the state might not have lower the head of ‘Mama Shivraj’ by shame but the people of state are for sure feeling ashamed. The state that was already unsafe for women has also become most unsafe for minor girls, he added.
