Chouhan sends notice to Ajay Singh over remarks

Published on:

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sent a defamation notice to leader of Opposition Ajay Singh for his alleged indecent remark against his wife Sadhna Singh during public meetings at Sagar and Khargone during the Congress' Parivartan Yatra.

Though the leader of Opposition has not yet received the copy of the notice, but if he gets one he would send an appropriate reply to him.

Notably, the politics of the State is on the boil ever since Singh levelled serious allegations against the kin of the Chief Minister.

Following this, State BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar in a press statement had made indecent comments on Ajay Singh's family members.

The Chief Minister has sent the defamation notice through a New Delhi-based lawyer.

It was pointed out in the notice that while addressing a public meeting during Parivartan Yatra at Sagar, Singh had said, "The currency counted on Sadhna Bhabhi's machine" and at Khargone, he said, "Chief Minister should tell the real identity of Sadhna Bhabi."

This was published in a local newspaper and the notice has been sent on the basis of that news.

BJP State president and MP Narendra Singh Tomar has also responded to the consistent allegations leveled by Singh on the Chief Minister's family members and on Monday issued a statement levelling serious allegations against Singh's grandfather and father.

After Tomar's statement, other Congress leaders joined the bandwagon and started giving statements against Tomar. Though after this war of words, Tomar said on Wednesday that such rhetoric should stop and added that "we don't want that politics of allegations and counter allegation should start in the State."
