The Congress fought the last lok Sabha elections promising reduction in inflation in 100 days but instead of reducing inflation it increased 10 times making the life of the people of the country miserable, said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while addressing an election meeting at Kurawar under Rajgarh parliamentary constituency.
After 60 years strong ripples of discontent against the Congress are witnessed among the people that is the result of not delivering what was promised by them and have deceived the innocent people of the country, he added.
In the last leg of the lok Sabha elections intensive campaigning has been started by all the political parties in the state.
The Congress did not keep its promises and the people of Rajgarh should oust the Congress while BJP-led state government has worked for the poor and needy people and several schemes are made for them. They had promised of providing 10 crore jobs but the real number is far from the promises made by the Congress. By harping the same string of removing poverty will not help and would require firm steps which were not done by Congress told CM Chouhan.
Praising his government, CM Chouhan said that pro-people and welfare-oriented schemes by the State Government in the last 10 years by the BJP has led to inclusive growth of the state and every sector has reported growth and development. Under the BJP government, the state has achieved new feats and developed the state into a prosperous state. In the past few years around 54 lakh people have been included in the category of poverty line.
He said that significant changes have been witnessed in the field of agriculture due to the facilities provided by the Government like agriculture loan on zero percent interest, discounts and flexibility on the payment of electricity bills for farmers and providing agriculture farm equipments at low rate.
