Chouhan plays direct dialogue card

To connect the common people of the State with the process of making Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would launch a ‘direct dialogue’ in a couple of months.

Chouhan would visit each district and encourage the people in joining the pro-people works of the State government. He informed this at the concluding session of the daylong Commissioner-Collector conference held here on Thursday. He called upon the officials to work in the interest of common people with their whole capabilities, exhibiting sensitivity towards the people. By working with sensitivity, they would not only solve the problems of the people, but also implement developmental schemes effectively.

Chouhan further said that the people-oriented schemes and programmes of the government helped in getting huge support from the public in the recently held elections. He congratulated the officials for the peaceful and fair elections. “There are several achievements of Madhya Pradesh to boast on; roads were constructed, electricity was provided round the clock and irrigation facility increased. In next five years, we would reach on the top of the development,” he added.

He asked the officials to maintain better coordination between their sitting in the offices and moving in the fields.

They should not compromise with the quality, he said, adding, “Identify your abilities and utilize your powers in public interest.”

Maintaining that law and order is on his top priority, Chouhan asked the police officials to maintain direct dialogue with common people. Problems are solved with dialogues only. “You should maintain strict vigil that no new dacoity gang comes up. Prepare an advance plan before every religious programme in the region. If mafia starts functioning, you should take stern action against it,” he asserted.
