The Congress has alleged that the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in Madhya Pradesh is the most corrupt State Government of the country and its policies are anti-people.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and State in-charge Mohan Prakash, while addressing the media on Thursday after the conclusion of the two-day marathon meeting of district presidents and coordinators showed sharp tantrums. “The Chouhan-led BJP Government is working on corrupt and anti-people policies. The Congress would no longer remain a mute spectator on the serious issues and would hit the ground with aggressive posture to raise public issues,” Prakash said.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Arun Yadav was also present on the occasion. “Now, on only those faces would remain in the party, who are synonymous of struggle, dutiful and honest,” Yadav said.
In the two-day meeting held at the State Congress headquarters, district presidents and coordinators of 28 districts participated and presented reports of agitations carried out and other organisational activities of their respective districts.
Prakash and Yadav held one-on-one and group discussions with the participating district presidents and coordinators and took information of the black deeds committed by the Shivraj Government in their respective districts.
Yadav said that the report card presented in the two-day meet shows that some districts have performed very well, some performed medium while some districts appears to be inactive. The districts that have not performed well would immediately undergo organisational change, he added.
He said that about 20,000 to 25,000 farmers and Congress workers from the State would participate in the party rally organised in New Delhi on April 19. District Congress Committees have booked private vehicles, buses and bogies in the trains to take party workers for participating in the rally, he added.
The MPCC president repeated that the Congress would continue its fight for the farmers of the state who have been ruined due to natural disaster and the multi-crore MPPEB scam.
