To support juveniles fighting depression and overcoming their regret, the Bhopal Child Helpline is going to provide counseling facility to them at the Juvenile Correction Home.
Apart from the counseling, the Childline team would also visit the families of the juveniles serving term at Juvenile Correction Home and would try to help their wards to abandon the anti-social activities and lead a normal life.
losing hope and considering that the juveniles have crossed the point of no return many parents of the juveniles have abandoned them, those families would be motivated to accept their children and support them to make their future better.
Few days ago 11 juveniles escaped Juvenile Correction Home of the state capital which has raised serious questions on the reliability of the corrections homes. After the incident the State Commission of Protection of Children’s Right (SCPCR) inspected the juvenile home and noticed many irregularities
The team is going to visit the juvenile correction home twice in a month and the process is going to be started from the month of August.
The Director of the Bhopal Child Helpline Archana Sahay the team would try to perform group games and activities to release their negativity. The team would include Master of Social Work students of BSSS College who will help in the counseling and other activities.
The biggest problem faced by the juveniles is the hatred developed due to the rejection by the family members after committing crimes. The family members would be counseled for accepting the juveniles again as a part of their family.
