After a dispute with Principal Secretary of Water Resources department Radhe Shyam Julania, Chief Engineer Madan Gopal Chaube tendered his resignation on Thursday.
Official sources said that Chaube had a dispute with Julania during a meeting on Wednesday. Earlier too, Chaube had tendered his resignation, but later he had agreed to continue. However, this time, it is considered that his resignation would be accepted. Sources further said that Chaube was serving the department on contract after having retired from the same department.
It was the second contract he was serving and thus there was resentment among the officials who had been waiting their turn for promotion on the post.
