Chairmen for different committees were appointed for Madhya Pradesh State Assembly for the year 2017-18 by speaker of the state assembly Sitasaran Sharma after the members of committees were elected unopposed.
Chairmen for Committee on Public account, estimates committee, committee of public undertakings, committee of local bodies and Panchayat account, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and backward classes welfare committees have been appointed.
Mahendra Singh Kalukheda has been appointed as chairman of Public Accounts Committee, Yashpal Singh Sisodia has been appointed as chairman of Committee of Public Undertakings, Girish Gautam has been appointed as chairman of estimates committee, Shailendra Jain has been appointed as chairman of local bodies and panchayatiraj accounts committee and KD Deshmukh has been appointed chairman of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and backward classes welfare committee.
In the four committees 11 members have been selected unopposed while 15 members have been selected in scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and backward classes welfare committee.
