The BJP-led NDA Government has been “working with the agenda of development of all without any discrimination,” Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said here on Sunday.
Naqvi, who was in the State Capital to address a BJP media workshop, also held a meeting with different sects of the minority communities including Bohras and Christians, at Hotel Jehan Numa Palace.
Naqvi, addressing the meet attended by minority communities’ intellectuals said that the Modi Government wants the development of the minority communities and to strengthen them through various schemes.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the thinking of ‘Sabka Hath Sabka Vikas’ has strengthened the fabric of brotherhood in the country,” Naqvi said.
Naqvi further said that the Congress has always exploited the minorities, especially Muslims by just considering them as vote bank.
He called on the educated and elite class of the minority community to make meaningful efforts to deliver the various schemes run for the welfare of the minority communities by Centre’s Modi Government and the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP Government of the State.
He said Modi Government has been rescuing its citizens without religious discrimination across the world in Yemen and in Afghanistan where the Government really stretched itself to get back Father Alexis Prem Kumar. This has sent the right message. We have launched social security schemes without bringing religion or community into it, but since a majority of the Muslim community is below poverty line, they automatically gain from it. The Government’s programmes benefit the poor, whatever your community, he added.
Madhya Pradesh BJP (minority cell) president Hidayatullah Khan, former Madarsa board chairman Rashid Khan and other leaders besides large number of minority members of the party were present on the occasion.
