Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and parliamentarian Thanwarchand Gehlot has alleged that the Congress-led Central government is promoting conversions by granting status of Scheduled Castes to Christian and other religious communities.

“The 800 crore rupees that was allocated to Scheduled Castes by the Finance Commission under a special sub-plan was diverted to organizing the Commonwealth games which is dishonesty towards the community,” he said while addressing the two-day state executive meet of BJP’s Anusuchit Jati Morcha.

National Convener of the Morcha Bhagwat Sharan Mathur said on the occasion that the party started its journey as Jan Sangh and due to the abiding trust expressed by the people in it the party has emerged as the second largest party of the country.

“The journey of the BJP from its formation till date has been full with struggles. The party has reached its current position by martyrdom of many leaders like Deendayal Upadhyay and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. It only the BJP that has opposed the double standards and vote bank politics of Congress,” he said. Senior BJP leader and national in-charge of the Morcha Satyanarayan Jatia said that the well known sage Valmiki had written an epic like Ramayana which is read all over the world.

State General Secretary lal Singh Arya told the executive members that the committees of the Morcha at the grass-roots level will be formed by June 25. He informed that a working plan to collaborate with heads of 47 heads of sub-castes of the Scheduled Caste communities has been formulated by the Morcha.

Senior party leaders and ministers of the BJP government in State government were present in the meeting.
