BJP president Amit Shah on Saturday said the Centre is handling the Jammu and Kashmir situation seriously and is on the right track since its actions had shown very good results.
While talking to media persons on the second day of his three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh at the BJP headquarters on Saturday, Shah said, "The Government is dealing with the Kashmir issue very seriously. In the last 2-3 months we have shown very good results. The Government is moving on the right track."
Stern action is being taken against terrorists, said Shah, adding that a reply to the court would be submitted regarding article 35 A regarding Kashmir.
He also said the Ram temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh should be built either through consensus among the parties involved or through a court order. Shah said the issue had figured in every election manifesto of the Bharatiya Janata Party since the demolition of the disputed structure at Ayodhya in December 1992. On the issue of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, he said the issue can be discussed among political parties. The BJP leader also welcomed the Janata Dal-United's decision to rejoin the National Democratic Alliance at the Centre but clarified that the issue of its joining the Central Government had not yet been discussed.
To a query regarding three Ministers in the State coming from BJP leaders' families, Shah stated that this cannot be termed as inheritance in politics.
If anybody, no matter whether son of a leader, if works in the party and then gets inducted in cabinet, there is no harm in it, Shah added.
