Women in Public Sector, WIPS BHEl, Bhopal on the occasion of International Women’s Day organised a magnificent programme on Friday at IFX Hall BHEl, Bhopal. SS Gupta, Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal was present as the Chief Guest whereas Shashi Ranjan Prasad, Executive Director (OSD) BHEl, Bhopal graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Girish Shrivastava, GM (HR) BHEl, Bhopal presided over the function. Sumana Chatterjee, Regional labour Commissioner and Professor Usha Krishnan were invited as the Guest Speaker. Usha Rani Gupta, President, BHEl ladies Club, Nilima Prasad, Sarla Menon and other officials of WIPS also graced the programme.
Gupta in his address threw light on the role women play in different sections of the society. Women officials in BHEl, Bhopal today are head of different divisions of the organisation opined Gupta laying special emphasis on the contribution of women in the success story of the company.
Prasad analyzing various role women play in society highlighted the multiple responsibility delivered by one single woman. The role of women is commendable in not only promoting the society as well as forming a favourable society.
Shrivastava in his inaugural address said women are capable of adjusting to any situations that come upon them. Chatterjee educated the women about the Indian Constitution and the rights of women enacted in the rule book whereas Krishnan simply focused on the state of the women in the yesteryears and the present. Menon on this occasion made the gathering aware about various programmes run by WIPS.
Sunaina Sharma, Mamta R Dingrocha and Smt. Daisy C Bhalla were especially present on this occasion. Kokila D’souza and Namrata Jaiswal co-ordinated the function.
