The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a supplementary charge-sheet against a candidate and solver (candidate’s son) under sections 120-B, 419, 420, 467 and 468 of the IPC and section 3-4 of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganization Act, 1937 in the court of Special Magistrate, CBI cases, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh).

The CBI had registered the case on December 22, 2015 against said accused persons in compliance of the orders of Supreme Court of India dated 09.07.2015 and took over investigation of FIR No; 82/2011 registered earlier at Police Station Jhansi Road, Gwalior under section 419 of the IPC and section 3-4 of the MPRE Act. It was alleged that the accused persons entered into a criminal conspiracy with each other for cheating, forgery and impersonated in Guruji Second Test Exam 2009 conducted by Vyapam.

Investigation revealed that the Candidate allegedly took the assistance of his son in the written examination of Guruji Second Test Exam 2009. The expert opinion of CFSl on thumb impressions available on the OMR Sheet had allegedly proved that the candidate did not appear in the examination himself and his son appeared on his behalf in the said examination. The Court has cancelled the earlier bail given to them and taken both the accused into the Judicial Custody. The next date of the case has been fixed for October 04, 2016.

The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
