Hanumanganj police have declared a cash reward on wanted accused who opened fire at a youth on June 13 at Old Categorised Market; victim was shot by the accused over money dispute.
The accused identified as Razi alias Aashu opened fire at the victim identified as Mohammad Rizwan after having a dispute on June 13 is still absconding. Police have declared cash reward of Rs 5000 after searching the accused for long.
On the day of the incident panic prevailed at Old Categorised Market area after the accused opened fire at a youth who escaped the spot leaving the victim in a pool of blood.
According to the police, Mohammad Rizwan works at a shop at Old Categorised Market was attacked by accused who had a fight with the victim and left the spot after locals intervened to pacify the fight but the accused later arrived on his scooter and took a country made pistol and opened fire at the victim.
The accused the shot the victim near shoulder. The police have intensified the search for the accused. The police have registered a case under section 307 of the IPC. Police said that the accused is involved in criminal activities and has been booked by different police stations in the past.
