Jewellery worth Rs 45,000 and Rs 30,000 cash were burgled from Shankaracharya Nagar area on Monday. Shanti Singh, victim had gone to Hoshanagabad and on Monday her brother-in-law spotted that the doors were open and valuables were burgled, police said. A complaint was lodged with the police stating that the victim had gone to Hoshangabad and on Monday her brother-in-law Jitendra spotted that the locks were broken and doors were open also when he entered the valuables were found missing. The victim claimed that Rs 30000 cash and gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 45000 were burgled. The total loss in the burglary was around Rs 75000. The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
