Vijay Nagar police here on Thursday night registered a case of rape against a doctor for raping a lady doctor at Hotel Radisson.
According to complaint, the accused Dr Gagan Jain had made a physical relation with a lady doctor at Hotel Radisson here on August 27 and on September 4 this year on the pretext of getting married with her.
The lady doctor informed about Dr Gagan to her parents. Subsequently family members of the victim talked to Dr Gagan for marriage but he kept dillydallying the matter for some or the other reason saying that he will talk to his father in this regard.
However, after sometime, Dr Gagan, a native of Delhi, sent a message to the lady doctor’s family that if they wanted marriage of their daughter with him than they will have to pay a dowry of Rs 1crore.
later father of the victim informed about the same to his daughter. This led to heated arguments between the doctors and his doctor fiancee for several days.
later on Thursday night, the lady doctor's parents lodged a complaint of rape against Dr Gagan with Vijay Nagar police. Vijay Nagar police have registered the case and launched manhunt to nab the accused.
