Koh-e-Fiza police have registered a case of inciting religious sentiments by posting comment on WhatsApp. A complaint was lodged by Addl SP (DSB) Vivek Kumar lal against owner of mobile number 741556389, who had posted comment lal's WhatsApp.
Police said that the victim lodged a complaint with the police after he found the post inciting religious sentiments.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 188 of the IPC.
Notably, the District Collector has imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC on such posts on Whatsapp and action under section 188 of the IPC is taken on violation of prohibitory orders.
