Barkatullah University (BU) is facing trouble in declaring the results of medical courses. Confidential department has postponed the declaration of medical courses results several times as answer sheets have not been evaluated yet. The students appeared in final part are waiting for the final results to join internship programmes.
Besides MBBS and MD, BU also affiliates Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelors of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelors of Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelors of Unani Medicine and Surgery and MDS courses. These courses are taught in Gandhi Medical College, People’s medical college, Chirayu medical college, lN medical college and other medical colleges of state capital. Examinations are organized by the university and results are also compelled by them. University administration is facing trouble in getting the answer-sheets of medical courses evaluated as the medical teachers avoid the answer sheets evaluation work. Medical teachers get Rs 15 for evaluating an answer sheet so they avoid doing evaluation work as it is time consuming work.
BU Confidential department Deputy Registrar VK Singh said that daily students of different medical courses approach the department for declaring of result but department is unable to declare results on time as the evaluators have not completed the evaluation work.
Singh further said that in the other courses like BSc, BA, BCom etc if evaluators are not able to complete the evaluation work then we transfer the answer sheets to other evaluators but for medical colleges there are limited evaluators, that is why we face the trouble of delay in work. BU Registrar Sanjay Tiwari said that we do not have much saying in the working of medical colleges. Various methods have been adopted to get the evaluation work accelerate but in vain. University is trying to increase the evaluation fees from present Rs 15 per answer-sheet, which may increase the interest of medical teachers in evaluation work.
