Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Kantilal Bhuria on Saturday admitted that discontent prevailed in the party over distribution of poll tickets but claimed that everyone would be pacified in two-three days and situation would normalise.
“The Congress situation is firm in the entire State,” he claimed. Bhuria suddenly reached here by helicopter, confabulated at the helipad itself with party leaders and rebel candidates from Jobat and Alirajpur and advised them to unitedly contest the elections. Dodging a query regarding his brother’s daughter Kalawati entering the fray as an independent, Bhuria only said he had just arrived and would talk after reaching home.
later, he left for Thandla where in the next few days he would select a venue for party president Sonia Gandhi’s public meeting besides interacting with annoyed Congresspersons and endeavouring to settle differences.
