Valuables worth Rs 50,000 were burgled from Sagar Villa Apartments under Misrod police station area on Saturday. According to the police the victim Vinod Kumar along with his family had gone to visit his relative on Friday and when they returned on Saturday they found that the valuables were missing.
A complaint was made by the victim with the Misrod police and in the complaint the victim had claimed that on his return he found that the locks were broken and on entering the house was found ransacked.Gold jewelry and other valuables worth Rs 50000 were found missing claimed the victim.
Victim works with a private company. In the burglary the almirah which was having the valuables was targeted and the other valuables were not disturbed.The lock of the almirah was found broken and the cash and gold jewelry were found burgled.The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.Neighbors expressed ignorance over any kind of noise related to breaking of the locks and have not spotted any strangers in the area in the past two days.
