The Barkatullah University (BU) is going online completely. After having implemented online payment system, the University is going to introduce online application system soon. On the contrary, the students are preferring offline system of payment over the online system.

In the online payment system of the university students need to fill up an application form and pay through debit card. They need to get a printout of transaction details and submit it in the university along with the application form which is only available at university enquiry counter.

Rajiv Singh Bhadoria, a student of Government college Betul, said, “The online process is complicated and I cannot rely on someone else for my account details. We need to submit the application form manually at university counter only so it is better to get make payment through challan at State Bank of India (SBI) university branch.”

Ritu Dubey, a final year BSSS student said that university campus does not have any mponline kiosk or internet café from where the payment can be made besides that all the forms are available only at enquiry of the university so students have to come to university.

Similarly, Aarti Singh, a third semester student of BCom from Itarsi complained that whenever she visited the university, she did many works like filling up few forms, learnt about examination dates etc. “So, making payment through SBI counter is convenient,” she said.

“If university makes all the payments and application through online process, then we will need not to visit university and will get every work done through online process,” added Ritu.

BU Registrar Sanjay Tiwari said that once the online application system is launched, the students will need not to approach university and they will also avail the online payment facility. Presently, they are not much aware of the online payment system, he added.
