The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) would burn the effigies of Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Welfare department, Mandla district Collector and Commissioner of Tribal Development before the Mantralaya on May 5, while the effigies of Director General of Police (DGP) and Home Minister would be burnt before the Police Headquarters (PHQ) on the same day. Senior BSP leader and former legislator Kishore Samrite in separate letters to Chief Secretary (CS) and DGP warned them in this regard.

Samrite in his letter to the CS said that from 2011 to April 15, 2015, the Assistant Commissioner of Adim Jati Kalyan Department Santosh Shukla withdrew about Rs50 crore in the name of Adim Jati Kalyan and development through Collector Mandla lokesh Jatav and district treasury officer. Earlier, Shukla was posted in Dhar district, there too he has committed financial irregularities to the tune of Rs20 crore of that he shared Rs10 crore with the then Dhar Collector Umakant Umrao while district treasury officer of Dhar was also hand in gloves with them, he added.

Samrite further said that works for which the amounts were withdrawn were never down on ground and got completed in papers only. The State Government is not taking any action in the issue despite several complaints, as these officials are having political and administrative patronage. It is requested to take action against these corrupt officers failing that the BSP would burn their effigies before Mantralay on May 3, he added.

The former MlA in his letter to the DGP demanded enquiry against the Town Inspector and other staff of police station Badela in Balaghat District for mass irregularities and open corruption failing that he warned that effigies of the DGP and the home minister would be burnt before the PHQ on May 3.
