Both BJP, Cong stake claim on forming Govt in State

After polling in Madhya Pradesh, both the major political parties are busy in claims and counterclaims regarding formation of Government in the State.

With the increase of votes, the parties feel that it was in their favour. BJP claims that it was the image of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan that forced the people to come out of their house for giving him the third chance to become the Chief Minister.

On the contrary, the Congress leaders believe that increase in voting always means that it is against the establishment or the ruling party. They associate this with the anti-incumbency against the Shivraj Government.

AICC general secretary and in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Prakash told media that it is almost decided that the Congress is forming Government this time in Madhya Pradesh. He claimed that almost 80% of Shivraj”s ministers are going to be defeated in the election, because they are facing corruption charges and people came out in large number to vote against them, he added. Besides, to overcome the 10-year anti-incumbency of the BJP, the saffron party came out with several attracting bonanzas in its manifesto.

The BJP also invited its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for campaigning in the State and BJP leaders feel that his presence in the State would certainly help the BJP.

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan claimed that Assembly poll was fought on the development plank. People want development and thus they would give him third chance in the State.

Besides Chouhan, BJP”s national general secretary Ananth Kumar and State BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar are also assured of their party”s victory in the elections.

Counting for the elections is scheduled on December 8.
