With the fear of police, Bharatiya Janata Party IT cell in-charge Vikas Bondriya on Saturday removed his controversial post from the Facebook. However, with a copy of the post, State unit of Congress lodged a complaint against this with the police.
In the complaint filed with the Cyber police, State Congress spokesman JP Dhanopia stated that in a post of Bondriya, Congress president Sonia Gandhi was seen publicising BJP leader Narendra Modi. He also submitted a copy of the Facebook post along with his complaint and requested to register a case under section 66 D of the IT Act.
In his complaint, Dhanopia said that the objectionable picture was posted in the Facebook by Bondriya on August 2, with title — Pehale Amitabh aur ab Soniaji (earlier Amitabh and now Sonia ji). In the picture, Sonia Gandhi was shown carrying a book with a title — Desh Ki Zarurat hai Modi with election symbol of the BJP.
Dhanopia alleged that the picture was doctored and Bondriya is responsible for this. However, Bondriya could not be contacted on his mobile phone.
